• Yes, it should be on a dedicated 20 amp circuit. It pulls 1700 watts during full power cooking. You definitely don't want any other appliances on the same circuit.

• The SMH2117S should be plugged into a dedicated 20-amp circuit for it to work properly. The impact of plugging it into a shared line would depend on how many of its functions are being used simultaneously and running on full power. It would also depend on whether the other item sharing the line is using power simultaneously, and how much. - Ms. Samsung
