I am so disappointed with my microwave. We only use it to reheat things and not very often. I bought it Dec. 2013 and just two weeks ago it started to malfunction. It would not even heat boiled water. Very very disappointed. It's only 20 months old and barely used.

this is the first above oven microwave we bought, the fan does blow very good but suction could be more from the bottom. the door doesnt line up perfect, had tech support check it out, they said thats the way samsung makes their door, just rides on pins no adjustment. For the overall performance we like it alot, the price wasnt that high either. Good value for the dollar.

Do you want to be without a microwave for weeks?

We initially were happy with our purchase of this microwave, although it did not have the features of the older, more expensive Dacor microwave it replaced. The size was great, and we liked the easy clean interior.
However, six months after it was purchased (right before Christmas), it failed totally - would not power up at all. I called Samsung customer service, they said a tech would get in touch shortly. After 3 days a local repair company called to say they only came to our area once a week, so it would be several days before they could stop by. We're 30 miles from Salt Lake City in Park City, a major resort town with a winter population of 100,000 people, so it's not like we're in the sticks.
Nine days after I called, the repair service showed up. He repaired one part, then stated that the magnetron had failed (the magnetron is covered by a 10 year warranty - it is not expected to fail easily). He said he would bring it back when his route brought him to our area again - so, two more weeks at least (assuming Samsung has the parts in stock). On the way out of the door he banged the microwave into our door frame, putting a major dent in it.
I called Samsung customer service again, and stated that I thought three weeks or more was too long to repair the unit. They blamed the tech for not bringing all the parts he might need (what, a whole microwave?) but refused to offer to even expedite parts to the repair shop to cut a week off the time, let alone discuss any kind of replacement.
Wth a family of 5, we use a microwave multiple times a day. Samsung should have better quality in the first place. When they have a product that fails, they need to have a better repair and support system in place, and if they can't do better than 3 weeks or more to repair an appliance that gets used daily, that's not good enough for me. Do you need a failure like this right before you have family coming for the holidays? Would you be happy with a giant empty space in your kitchen where your microwave was?
We don't and we aren't. No more Samsung appliances for us - good luck taking on Whirlpool, Bosch, Asko, Panasonic, etc. - the other appliances we have in our house which have worked great with daily use for years. I'm off to BestBuy again for another brand of microwave, look for this one on eBay - still under warranty!

Like the looks and seems to perform very well. The controls on the door woried me but now we like them there. It has a grey interior which I also wasn't sure about but it makes it always look clean. Easy to use and happy with our choice for the money.

This microwave is awesome! Such large space for cooking and the inside surface area is great for wiping out and cleaning. Al the different cooking modes that this microwave has is very ideal and easy to use. I love the bright white LED lights underneath the microwave as well comes very handy. Definitely would recommend getting this microwave.

This was our third samsung microwave. We purchased the convection oven microwave previously and gave up on it. The first one did not come with the proper screws to mount, then the inside was stripped. Next the second one was possessed it came on and off on its own (yes the microwave and oven on it) then the lights would turn on and off. After thst experience we decided to go with a cheaper microwave without all the bells and whistles. We have had it for about 2 months and it still functions properly, so we are pleased so far with our purchase. But buyer beware of the convectional oven microwave if you are reading these reviews and trying to decide which model to go with!!

I was not seeking a microwave and saw this stainless beauty! The features and instructions were easy to follow and cooked my meals to perfection. The true test is all about the POPCORN.... This unit passed with 5 stars...no burnt or too many kernels that were not popped. I was amazed with the 2.1 cubic ft space allows large items to cook and with the removable rack you can warm / cook several items at the same time. I love the ceramic enamel interior of this unit it makes cleaning a breeze. My previous microwave had a white interior that I dreaded to clean. Thanks Samsung for another great product!

I like the porcelain interior. It is easier to clean than some of the microwaves I've had and it looks great. Works great too. I was concerned about purchasing the stainless, concerned it would be hard to clean but it proves to be much easier than I thought and it looks great too. Would buy again.

The Samsung microwave is monster. It's the largest one I could find and it holds even the biggest dinners. The LED light for the work area is great. Much brighter than bulbs. Easy to install in a old microwave space. Just plug in and go. Multi-vent options was nice as well.

My old microwave was on its way out, bought this microwave to match the new stove we had bought. I liked our old one and this one is better because the led lights are brighter on the stove top. The fan is much quieter and seems to exhaust much better than our old one. I like the style. Our old one had more power but we couldnt find ne with that same rating.

Owned for 2 months. Ordered in-store on my iphone since Blue Shirt couldn't figure out how to order me one on his computer... Picked it up 5 days later.
This replaced a Whirlpool model that I purchased in 2006 and was working fine when I removed it. It was white and it was a transplant from our prior home... So it didn't match our gradually remodeled kitchen. This was the last puzzle piece to the remodel.
Looks: that's a subjective area, but we enjoy the look of the unit.
Fitment: where the whirlpool fit nice with no gaps left/right, this one leaves a gap on both sides that we are unhappy with. We installed new cabinets when we bought the home in 2010 and have the standard 30" opening. This unit does not fill that space like the whirlpool did. The height from stovetop to bottom of microwave is about the same as our old unit.
Install: what a PITA! I've installed many over-the-range units in my day. I own a remodeling business and have for 23 years. That being said, this was a difficult install. The mounting bracket that you bolt to the wall is poorly designed. My whirlpool unit had a 'U' shaped mount that went up against the cabinet on each side at the top and made it idiot proof for how low the bottom of the bracket should be. This model only has a single bar bracket that runs along the bottom and it is not as wide as the unit so you have to center it perfectly. Granted, I was working around other mounting holes in the wall and cabinet so that May have contributed to my difficulty getting the new bracket and overhead bolts in place since they are so near the same holes my whirlpool used... But just offset enough from the old holes to require new ones. The retaining nut on the right side popped off and fell into the unit while I was lining up the right side bolt that goes in from the inside of the upper cabinet. I I didn't use my Conan the barbarian brute strength, it just decided to un clip itself and fall in.. These clip-on nuts should be spot or tack welded in so this doesn't happen. It could have just as easily fell in during shipment while in the box. At this point, the wife said to take it back. Oh-ho-ho-ho H377 NO! I've come this far with the microwave from below and decided to rig my own fastening method. I used a toggle anchor. Widened the hole where the clip-on nut was with a drill bit and tapped the toggle anchor in there. It's secure. NOTE: the dozens of microwaves I've installed we're ALL pre-configured to vent to the front... This one is not. It's pre-configured to vent out the top. You will need to remove the squirrel cage blower and turn it facing front for front venting. See the manual for this one.
Cooking: we do the usual heat and eat stuff. We don't make thanksgiving dinner in it. Baked potatoes take longer than our old one, popcorn went from 2:12 with the old one to 2:40 with this one. Hot dogs take 10 seconds longer. Bacon, longer. Everything... Longer.
Feel: the door is cheap feeling. Light, but feels thin and cheap. When you open the door, there is useless sections of the door exposed that shows reinforcements (plastic) on the inside of the door. Not a big deal? Try cleaning all those nooks and crannies. The button pad feels cheap too. You have to press harder on the buttons than you would think. Our old unit was much easier to set and walk away. The 'add 30 sec' button is nice... But you still have to press start after. Sounds trivial but wait till you've used one that is one-touch...
If I could redo this whole thing, I'd buy another whirlpool. We had just purchased a Samsung French door fridge and wanted to keep a similar theme with the digital controls. Forget that and look for functionality and quality. Skip this model.

I bought this microwave to replace an existing installed microwave. Installation was easy, was able to install it with just myself and my 13 year old son. Microwave works great, no problems at all. I love the controls across the bottom of the microwave.
The coating inside the microwave makes cleanup very easy. This microwave has a lot of interior space, so you can cook just about anything in it!
