im no expert but it sounds like your ice maker mite be on. i had an old one that i had to lift the handle that lets it know the ice is full.to shut it off. the one I just purchased has an off button near the temp. controls. hope this helps

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's likely the sound that you're hearing is the water pump attempting to draw water to make ice. Since it isn't connected to water, it isn't able to do so. You can turn off the ice maker by pressing the Ice Off button on the control panel so it's illuminated. I would also suggest making sure the fridge is level. Instructions to do this can be found in the User Manual that came with the fridge; the manual can also be downloaded as a pdf file from Samsung's website.
