Hi ACE, Thank you for reaching out and we hope you are in good health. We are saddened to know that the sound that the refrigerator creates bothers you. This is not the experience we want for our customers; feedback like yours will certainly help us to continue improving our products and customer experience here at Samsung. A refrigerator is never completely quiet, even when it's new. In fact, new fridges may be louder as they settle into place. Still, noises from your ice maker or compressor should never get so loud that it's interrupting conversation. I have included a link below to best understand what sounds the refrigerator makes and recommended steps to take. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you ever find out how to fix this or how to get Samsung or Best Buy to fix this, please let me know. I've spent COUNTLESS hours (at this point) on the phone with both parties, and also with repair people, and no one can fix it. Best Buy turned me over to Samsung, and Samsung turns me over to ... no one to help. The repair person said it's an issue with gas flowing between the evaporator and the compressor. Samsung says it's a "normal" sound. Best Buy (even with the extended warranty) said they can't do anything until the Samsung Warranty runs out (received the fridge in mid-February 2016). It's been the worst experience...
