One side is freezer, the other side you decide if you want it to be a freezer, cold but not zero degrees, or refrigerator temperature. That is why it is called "flex" it is flexible with your needs. I don't know the exact measurements.

Regarding your concern, the bottom left would be purely freezer; on the bottom right, you can use the cool select button option to set it to one of four settings: Freezer, Soft Freezing, Chill, or Cool.
