A:AnswerYes, the width of the doors when opened 90 degrees is wider than the fridge with the doors closed. You can pull up the spec sheet from Samsung's website, and it says to leave 2.5" on the sides if installing next to a wall. We had to leave some clearance between the fridge and our wall ovens so the doors wouldn't hit the oven handles when we opened the fridge doors.
A:AnswerNot sure what you mean by eliminated, but yes you can leave it (the pitcher) out and turn off the auto refill function. There’s not much else to do with that compartment though.
It’s actually an amazing feature if you have dogs... makes filling water bowls piece of cake.
A:AnswerI have the RF23M8090SR, which I assume is mostly the same, it looks the same anyway. The doors stop at a 45 degree angle and don’t open flush to adjacent cabinetry. Hope this helps.
A:Answerour unit has handles on the doors. needed the depth clearance on the Freezer and Flex drawers due to Dishwasher opens adjacent / across the face. so no handles there.
A:AnswerHello Courtney, this unit does have a water filter. I have attached a link below to the compatible water filter.
