  • QuestionCan I use the ice maker / water pitcher without a filter installed in this specific model? A response to another question states "most models will run without filters" but will this one? We have an RO system so don't need the filter.

    Asked by Rebecca.

    • Answer Hi Rebecca, We appreciate your question about the water filter and if your RO system is compatible with the refrigerator. Most Samsung water and ice dispensers will work without an AquaPure water filter installed. The water filter housings are designed as rotary valves that allow the water to bypass the water filter whenever there is no filter or the filter is not in the locked position. Reverse Osmosis Water Supply IMPORTANT: The pressure of the water supply coming out of a reverse osmosis system going to the water inlet valve of the refrigerator needs to be between 35 and 120 psi. (241 and 827 kPa). If a reverse osmosis water filtration system is connected to your cold water supply, the water pressure to the reverse osmosis system needs to be a minimum of 40 to 60 psi. (276 to 414 kPa). If the water pressure in the reverse osmosis system is less than 40 to 60 psi (276 to 414 kPa): • Check if the sediment filter in the reverse osmosis system is blocked. Replace the filter if necessary. • Allow the storage tank on the reverse osmosis system to refill after heavy usage. • If your refrigerator has a water filter, it may further reduce the water pressure when used in conjunction with a reverse osmosis system. Remove the water filter. If you have questions about your water pressure, call a licensed, qualified plumber. • QuestionI recently purchased this refrigerator, and like it a great deal, but I can't get the left side doors to remain open. This makes it difficult to load or unload. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Asked by Jay.

    • Answer I am experiencing the exact same problem and was considering contacting the manufacture directly unless someone else has an answer for this here? I also find the left door does not close as easily as the others. Takes a bit more force.

  • QuestionI'm having the exact same problem as another questioner with the top left door -- it won't stay open! Samsung where are you with the answer to this problem? Door won't stay open!!! My door won't stay open. I'm furious about this.

    Asked by Mellow.

    • Answer This is the second poster with the same issue. I just saw the exact same thing with the floor model in BestBuy. It is putting me off purchasing. The door was clearly misaligned though. The furnished link is no use, it only addresses doors not closing.
