“Has anyone had issues with this refrigerator freezing up and requiring manual defrosting? My current 12yr old Samsung fridge has been nothing but problems requiring manual defrosting several times/yr. Need a new one, but concerned about another Samsung”

This is not normal and indicative of a faulty part that needs to be identified and replaced. I have a Samsung about the same age and have never had this problem.
