• Water heating; the unit does use residual heat and air from the room drawn into the unit (as opposed to the other way around as found in most units) to dry the dishes. It results in your room not being overheated during a cycle.

• The hidden heating element in the DMT800 dishwasher is used to heat the water, as needed, for the Sanitize cycle in particular. Samsung dishwashers use a condensation drying method which helps to save energy by not relying on the heater to dry the dishes. Thank you for your interest, Ms. Samsung
