A:AnswerThese red tines identify the Storm Zone, the area where you can load large items such as pots and pans for more effective cleaning. When you select the Storm Wash option, an additional, powerful jet is activated and directed at items in the Storm Zone. More information about this and other features can be found in the user manual that comes with the dishwasher. The manual can also be downloaded as a pdf file from Samsung's website for easy reference.

A:AnswerThe DMT800 uses status indicator lights to let you know the progress of the cycle, whether in the Wash, Rinse, Dry or Clean phase (indicating the cycle is complete). The time displayed on the control panel is used to indicate the Delay Start time selected.

A:AnswerThanks for the question. The fan-assisted condensation drying system in the DMT800 dishwasher is very effective when installed and used correctly. Condensation drying relies on the residual heat on the dishes to help evaporate the water - rather than using additional energy to produce heat to dry the dishes, and the fans help to remove the moisture from the dishwasher cavity. It's important for the water and dishes to be very hot in order for the water to evaporate, and Samsung also recommends using a Rinse Aid for optimal performance.

A:AnswerThanks for the question. Instructions for cleaning the nozzles on your dishwasher can be found on pages 20-21 of the user manual. If you don't have the copy that came with your DMT800, you can download a pdf file of the manual from Samsung's website. Both the manual and Samsung's website also have other troubleshooting suggestions to try in the event cleaning the nozzles doesn't solve the issue you're having.

A:AnswerThanks for the question. Like many other "Tall Tub" style dishwashers, the DMT800RHS is designed to maximize the amount of space available inside to fit a variety of plate sizes, pots and pans, and tall glasses on the top rack. The extra height in the tub also enables the top rack to be adjusted based on your needs.

A:AnswerThanks for the question. The exact timing of when the detergent is dispensed depends in part on which cycle and options are selected. If I'm understanding you correctly, you've already been working with a service technician who determined there was a malfunction. If this is the case and the issue is recurring, I would suggest contacting either Best Buy or Samsung again by calling 888-BEST BUY or 800-SAMSUNG. Following up with the same team is helpful in finding a solution.
If your dishwasher has not been serviced, please try the following to make sure the detergent door is able to open properly:
- Make sure you are not overfilling the soap dispenser. Only fill it up to or below the fill line.
- Check for a build up of soap residue in and around the soap dispenser. If residual soap builds up, it can cause the dispenser door to stick. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the dispenser with warm water to remove residual soap build-up.
- If you are using any brand of "Tablet" soap, make sure the tablet is seated properly in the dispenser and the dispenser door closes correctly.
- Check the load in the dishwasher. If a utensil is protruding from the rack, it may stick up in front of the dispenser and prevent the dispenser door from opening fully.
If these troubleshooting tips do not help to resolve the issue, please contact Best Buy or Samsung at the numbers above to initiate a service request.
