• It should. I have it connected to my Suddenlink digital box thru the component AV connections but that is because of the cable box's available connections (as in no HDMI). The TV has 2 HDMI port, 2 USB ports, and an antenna in port in addition to the component AV connections.

• Yes, if your cable box has one of HDMI, composite, RCA or coax outputs and you have corresponding cable to connect cable box to TV.
