It has a coaxial tuner input for your antenna or cable. It has a composite video input for your VCR, and it has an HDMI input for your DVD. It has a component video input, but it can't be used if your using the composite video input. It's one or the other, but not both. If your DVD player doesn't have an HDMI output, you can get a new one that does for as little as $45.00. Better yet, upgrade to a Blu-Ray player for a few bucks more. This is an extremely simple installation that you can likely do yourself. If not, Geek Squad or any other installation company can do it for you.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You should beable to connect the vcr to the tv using the coaxial cable. As far as the DVD player is concerned, that can be connected up using a HDMI cable or by using the AV wires (these are the red, white and yellow cables) You would still not have cable tv. I am assuming your tv is new, and not an older tv.
