A:AnswerYou can change the settings for the digital optical output from 5.1 to PCM for 2-channel audio. Once set, it seems to stay there, even when the set is turned off and back on again. . I wasn't able to find out if it actually works properly, but at least it sets up properly for this function in the menu..
