• Mine is hard wired. I would suspect it is whatever the installer chooses to do.

• The unit comes with a metal box under the dishwasher with a little cover that screws on. Some sinks have a plug that a regular AC plug plugs into, some under sinks have a junction box that the unit will wire directly into.... you need to know what your application uses.... you will also need to know how it connects to the water under the sink.
