Yes, you can definitely play games on this monitor.. No, you aren't going to have 4k gaming with ultra-fast response time or stupidly-high refresh rates, but those aren't an absolute necessity.. I bought this monitor for my nephew for his first gaming PC, and it'll be great for his needs.. It's a great entry-level monitor for anyone..
