Mine takes a long time as well....maybe 2 hours. I hadn't really thought about it much until I read your post. I can say that I haven't seen a spike in my electric bill as a result of the long cycle and since there are only two of us in the home, I haven't been inconvenienced. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The cycle times on the DMT300RFB should range from approximately 81 minutes to 193 minutes depending on which cycles and options are selected. These times are in line with other manufacturer's specifications. Some of the variables that can effect the amount of time it takes to complete a cycle include the water pressure, drain conditions, and temperature of the supplied water. Your home's water pressure should be 20~120 psi for the dishwasher to fill properly, and for best performance, the temperature of the supplied water should be 120°F. I would suggest running a Quick Wash cycle, which should take approximately 81 minutes, checking to make sure the water valve is turned on all the way, and the conditions above are met. If the Quick Wash takes significantly longer than the 81 minute estimate, please contact Samsung to determine whether service is necessary. - Ms. Samsung
