I would not recommend this product at all. The smell was terrible with the stainless interior. I have never encountered a smell like this from a dishwasher. I also have asthma so I am very aware of fumes and smells from new items. It did not cause an attack for me but it was very unpleasant.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just got a brand new dishwasher installed and getting the strong burning plastic odor. It’s getting less pungent after a week of using but isn’t going away. Getting a Samsung tech to come and check but hotline person claims no knowledge of this being a big issue. It doesn’t matter if using heated drying or not the smell is a bit noxious. It’s not an electrical issue per installer but no explanation so far.

However, any new item made with metal and plastics may have some odor that could be detected by someone who has a particularly sensitive sense of smell. If you find this to be the case, you can run a sanitize cycle, and place a cup of vinegar inside as instructed in the user manual, to help remove the odor. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung
