• Hi there, No, the unit does not preheat the water for washing. The water temperature depends on the dishwasher cycle you are using. Please see the "cycle overview" section on pages 27-29 of the user's manual. • I believe it pulls from the water coming in. It does go through a “pre-wash”, at the beginning of the cycle. My dishes come out beautifully clean, even if overloaded.

• Hit the ‘Hi Temp Wash’ button, and it preheats the water!! We LOVE this DW! It does a fantastic job with washing and drying!!
