- Answer Thanks for the question. All current Samsung refrigerators are designed with the option to connect to water, and have built-in icemakers; however, the icemakers can be turned off if you don't connect to water or prefer not to use it. Most also have internal water filters, though these can be removed. If you do choose to connect to water, Samsung recommends using the internal filtration system if you don't have an external system in your home, since mineral deposits or debris from the water supply could damage the fridge's water lines over time. Questionwill the delivery people take the doors off so it will fit through the door?Model : RF261 beaesr Need to know if the doors come off and will the delivery person take them off.

QuestionDo I need a water line installation kit with my refridgerator? It's a Samsung RF261BEAEBI bought a refrigerator from a BB store and all I purchased was the refridgerator and the insurance...yet on the website they say others bought the water line installation kits, ice cube line kits and no one told me about these. Are they important to my Samsung running properly??

The Best Buy website clearly states which models are real stainless steel, and which ones have other finishes which include Stainless Platinum, Black or White. Stainless steel is designed to resist rust and other stains. - Answer Currently (it's Sep 2022) it's $40 to haul away the old fridge (recycle or move to a different room), and it's $30 to install the new one (plug water pipes).

QuestionWe bought one of these about six years ago from Best Buy. Has Samsung fixed the issue with the evaporator drain freezing up, causing water to collect and freeze through the entire cooling element and exhaust fan so the fridge no longer cools?

- Answer The water dispenser is on the inside of the fridge. The ice dispenser is in the freezer. You can fill glasses and even a coffee pot or a pitcher.

QuestionI have seen many reviews complaining of noise on this model, but these date back to 2014 (maybe older) and some as recent as 4/2017. Has this issue been corrected? There were complaints about the defroster not working, has this issue been corrected?

Questionmanual icemakerDoes this fridge come with manual icemaker? We haven't setup the water supply line with filter as our kitchen layout doesn't allow it.

- Answer Hi Eyoon, The RF261BEAESR does have an automatic ice maker built in, but it's fine to turn off the ice maker and use the space in the storage bin for other items or remove the bin entirely if you aren't able to connect the Refrigerator to water. Thanks for the question, Ms. Samsung

QuestionIs there a vent cover or toe kick that covers the wheels at the bottom? Some pictures show the fridge with just two small "feet" at the bottom yet others show the whole (ugly) base with wheels.

QuestionIs the freezer in this model truly a manual defrost? I thought all refrigerators were manufactured now as automatic defrost and frost-free. How often will I have to defrost it?
