Thanks for the question. The RF260BEAEWW is designed to produce about 3 lbs of ice per day. There are several factors that can affect the ability of the ice maker to produce ice, in particular the availability of water to fill the tray, and the temperature of the freezer once the tray is filled with water. First, make sure the Ice Off button on the control panel has not been pressed. Next, try pressing the Test button on the bottom of the ice maker, which should cause the tray to rotate then fill with water. It may be necessary to press this button more than once when the filter is first installed or replaced in order to bleed air from the lines. For the water to freeze, the freezer temperature should be set to -2°F or colder. You can also press the Power Freeze button on the control panel to help speed the freezing process. Once ice production starts, let the ice maker make ice for 1 to 2 days. Over that period of time, throw out the first 1 or 2 buckets of ice the freezer makes to ensure all impurities have been removed from the water line. Keep in mind, too, that water pressure of 20~125psi is required for the ice maker to function properly. If the tray did not fill with water, check the water supply valve to make sure it is on all the way, and make sure the line is not bent or kinked. Make sure the filter is installed correctly and locked in place. Samsung recommends setting the refrigerator temperature to 38°F; if set too cold the water line could freeze. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The ice maker has to be connected to a water source before it will produce. I made this same mistake and waited for ice for a week. lol The installer should have connected the water hose to the back of your fridge and you turn it on at the source. This connection is usually on your water heater piping. Look for a handle on the piping from the wall going into your water heater and you should see a small pipe branching off. turn the handle and you will have ice in about 24 hrs, for some reason it takes that long, even according to the manual.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I threw out the first ice, as always with a new unit. The bucket is large, and slower to appear full. I remember that I had plenty of ice in much less than 24 hours (including the time it took for the fridge to reach freezing temperature.)
