• This fridge does NOT have a built-in water filter, nor a place for a cartridge. There is simply a water-inlet tubing protruding from the back of the fridge. Simply connect this to a nearby water pipe with an adapter kit, or preferably to an inline water filter that can also feed a drinking water spout on your kitchen sink. Hope that helps.

• Then why does it have a filter light? Ours went from blue to red.

• The RF26HFENDSR doesn't come with a built-in water filtration system. Instructions for attaching an external filter can be found in the User Manual. I would suggest checking with your local Best Buy Appliance Associate or a local plumber for advice on selecting an external filter that will best suit your needs. • There is none built in. If desired a filter can be purchased and added to the supply line where it connects to the rear of the unit.
