Thanks for the question. Removing or disconnecting the ice maker isn't recommended, but you can simply turn the ice maker off by pressing the Ice Off button on the control panel, then remove or use the ice bucket to store other items. - Ms. Samsung
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, simply do not hook up the internal ice maker to a water supply, then activate the on/off switch for the ice maker such that the "Ice Maker OFF" light is illuminated. Now you are good to go!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ice maker does not take up any "view-able" space within the system. So, you do not have to install it. We did not install ours.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We didn't want to maintain the ice-maker, therefore we did not hook it up with the water supply and so far so good. To answer your question, yes you can disconnect the ice-maker.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know if you can DISCONNECT the ice maker but you can turn it off. There are buttons in the top of the fridge portion where the doors connect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yeah - just make sure that the switch inside the freezer is "off", and do not connect the water line to the back of the unit. Leaving the switch on, even with no water, will cause the motor to burn out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
