I just take the plastic bucket down and shake it to flatten the ice pile. Then it merrily makes more ice. If you are having a party, dump the bucket of ice into plastic bags and store in the freezer while the maker makes more -- or put in a stack of ice cube trays. (better yet buy a bag at the grocery store). Even in Chandler's summer, this ice maker is enough for my family. It is, however, slow to replenish.

Regarding this concern, although the ice maker can make 10 pounds of ice a day, it's only capable of holding 2 pounds of ice at a time. Once the ice bucket is full, the ice maker will stop. Also, I suggest you check this troubleshooting guide to assist you with the ice maker. 1. Shift ice forward in the bucket, or dispense it often. 2. Check the water pressure. 3. Check if your water filter needs replacing. 4. Resolve your water pressure issues before continuing. 5. Level the refrigerator. 6. Keep the doors closed. 7.
