    • Answer Hi Non, Thank you for reaching out and we hope you are in good health. Yes, the water filter is for freezer water and ice maker. After about 6 months (and typically, about 300 gallons (1200 L) of water), the filter indicator blinks red for several seconds when you open the door, reminding you that the filter needs to be replaced. When this happens, replace the filter, and then press and hold Filter Reset for 3 seconds. The filter lifecycle will be reset and the filter indicator turns off.     • Answer Hello. Thank you for reaching out regarding your Samsung - 27.4 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator icemaker on how to switch it off. Regarding your concern, here are the steps on how to switch off your ice maker: Press Ice Maker to turn the ice maker on or off. The ice maker has 2 indicators (Ice Maker On / Ice Maker Off ) to indicate its operating status. When the ice maker operates, the corresponding indicator (Ice Maker On ) turns on. When the ice maker is turned off, the corresponding indicator (Ice Maker Off ) turns on. In this case, ice making is disabled even if you press the Cubed Ice or Crushed Ice buttons on the dispenser panel. To enable ice making, you must turn the ice maker on. I will be sharing your user manual link to assist you further. As for the ice production, we generally recommend allowing 24-48 hours after installation for normal ice production to begin.     • Answer There is plenty of room between shelves 8 (lower 2) to 10 inches (upper 2). Although the shelves are not adjustable; meaning you can't move them up and down you can always add containers to maximize the shelving space.
