Yes, you can use the flex zone as normal refrigerator space.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We use the flex zone as a drink fridge of sorts. We, too, have a separate freezer so this arrangement worked well for us. Perfect for the kids. Bonus is that is has a couple of preset temps for the flex area- freezer, cold for meats and cheeses, or cool for drinks and adult beverages.
