Somehow it knows when it's full. No problems with making too much ice. And does a great job keeping both types of ice properly stocked.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Greetings, Yes, the ice maker will stop producing ice when the ice bucket is full. We recommend shifting the ice forward so it will not pile up underneath the bucket. Have a wonderful day. -Kimberly
