“When I turn on my monitor there are white spots on the sides and corners of my screen. Any ideas why?”

I recently purchased the same monitor actually 2 of them first one I returned due to a black pin sized line on screen, the second one I currently still have I have noticed the same white spots. These are “backlight bleed” it is basically just light leaking through the screen and there are no ways to completely remove it from the screen. You may be able to make it less prominent by changing some settings to make the spots less noticeable! Some backlight bleed is expected if it’s is really bad I would return and get a different monitor if it bothers you.
