“Is the pedestal necessary for the front loading washer and dryer? Is use of the pedestal recommended?”

• It is not necessary, but we bought them without them and we are now going to purchase them because we found that it will make it easier to reach the clothes toward the back of the washer and dryer. Being 6'1" it makes it pretty hard to bend down to get the clothes without getting down on one knee.

• They are not necessary, but definitely helps the back! I recommend since i do a lot of laundry and the bending over takes a toll.

• It's not necessary, but it's helpful for taller people. The additional height allows someone to bend over less and provides a little bit of storage. It's pricey but the machines are going to last for years

• The pedestals are not necessary for machine operation, but they add height to the machines. This makes it easier for you to retrieve your items from the washer and dryer, thus putting less stress on your back. Plus, it makes them look so much nicer. They also double as storage bins for your detergents and other laundry items. I highly recommend purchasing them with your set.

• they are not necessary but as we get older it is harder to bend down to remove clothes.We are very pleased with the pedestals

• These pedestals have come along way in 15 years since my last set. Better storage space. You can fit all your cleaning supplies in there. Very handy. Helps your back out too.
