Product pictures show one in place, but my recently delievered refrigerator did not have one.

Our just has a lid that say 'push' to cover up the built-in plastic well.

Yes, there's a little piece that fits into the depressed area. It has a small groove outlining the piece and a small hole where the excess water goes.
