• We hold the glass up to the hole so ice has no choice but to go in the glass.

• I had the similar problem at beginning. However I figured out a solution. Use a bowl with deep opening or a glass. Hold it in an angle and push the dispenser lever with hand and not by the bowl or glass. It's a small trick but helps splashing water/ice off.
