Will this monitor handle Directv and firestick? null

You shouldn't have any trouble picture-wise, but there aren't speakers in this monitor so you'd need to use something else for audio. You could use the audio out from this unit and send to a soundbar. HDMI-ARC isn't supported as far as I could tell.

I'm sure it will it plays just fine on my PC and PS4 Pro, but if you're going to use it just for shows and movies you'd be better off getting a tv...
