“The manual says before replacing the filter make sure the water supply line is shut off? How do you do that if the fridge is inserted into a cabinet designed space for the fridge and not easily pulled out to shut off the water valve and change the filter?”

Thanks so much for asking, Dave! We do recommend shutting of the water supply as this releases some of the pressure and makes removing the old filter easier. But not to worry if you can't move your refrigerator, it is safe to remove the water filter with the water supply still on. ^Jecca
