You can adjust the sub level from the remote. Also, you might want to try placing the sub module near the usual spots where bass is emphasized, like a corner or closer to the walls. It can vary wildly depending on your room size and layout and where you are sitting in the room. Since it's a wireless sub, you have additional flexibility on where you can place this.

If you watching any program which contains a music scene or action with gunfire, explosions or crashes with ideal settings it will shake the room.
