You press the settings button on the remote (the gear icon) until you see what you need in the right hand corner of the speaker bar and press the woofer button up or down and as far as power light there isn’t one

To adjust the function you're seeking press directional pad up for gain or down to decrease. Once you have desired sound set subwoofer button will enhance all sounds at once.
