Can the TV remote adjust the sound? null

Yes, if you have a Samsung TV (probably most current models, I'm guessing?). Check out the Samsung website, they have a section in this product description, about remote interoperability. We use our Samsung TV remote, and it controls the soundbar (and selects sound modes) perfectly.
