Hi all. I was displeased at first..until i hooked it to my phone via Bluetooth and it really bumped! Here is what youve gotta do: You need to use the hdmi cord (arc port) instead of included optical. Then mess with the settings on the TV audio. For newer Samsung TV, go to sound, exper settings, set hdmi input to Pcm, digital output to dts neo 2.5 will get you booming.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Update. Took it back to Best Buy and they hooked it up at the Geek Squad and had the same problem. Grabbed another one and the same problem, tried one more and it worked fine. At this point I am afraid of it so I just returned it and have nothing other than cheap built in TV speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You either dont have the sub synced with the soundbar (you cant just open it, hook it up and it works) or you didnt turn the bass option up in the settings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought this soundbar and had the same issue. I called Samsung and they said that they are aware of the issue and have fixed it in the new ones that they manufacture, but there are still a ton of them in the wild that aren't fixed. They require you to send it in to them and wait 2 weeks to get it back. I would avoid this soundbar and wait for next year's models.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am experiencing this exact same issue. To help troubleshoot i got an audio sweep file that runs continuously from 20hz to 10khz. I have found that if I have the volume lower than 37 (for my unit yours may vary) the subwoofer will put out almost nothing, but once I go past 37 suddenly the subwoofer comes to life. Unfortunately for me once you get above 37 the volume is just too loud. Put in some ear plugs and turn the volume up to 37+ then see if you have a functioning subwoofer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased this few weeks ago and same issue (very minimal sound from the Sub). Installed the latest firm ware; sub vol, bass and equalizer bass are on max; disconnected and relinked. Streaming via Aux and Bluetooth. Called Samsung and they suggested returning the item or mailing in the sub. Really trying to make this work. Any other suggestions? Thanks a lot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same issue and am going to return it now. If am going to watch Daenerys riding a dragon I want to feel it, not only hear it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm pretty sure it has to do with your TV equalizer. I played music from TV and I even had to lower the Bass because it was too high, it made the whole room vibrate. Make sure you have a sound option on your TV that is not blocking your bass or something. (also I guess you already tried turning the bass up with the speakers remote)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t know if you tried this but here goes. to sub woofer comes factory at it’s lowest setting. Take your Sound bar remote and press settings and you’ll see on the sound bar treble, bass, sub woofer, etc. when you reach the bass and sub, use directional up to your desired liking. I had to fine tune my sound bar, sub, and the matching wireless rear speakers. I hope this helped.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did you check the sub woofer volume? My sub hits great! Even with tv shows, sports there is plenty of bass. It will be set at 0 as a default and you can adjust from there. Also, check the sound bar setting (movie, sports, etc). This will change the settings to add more bass. Hope this helps.
