“Looking at the Samsung - 3.1-Channel 340W Soundbar with 6.5" Wireless Subwoofer all the positive reviews seem to be the Samsung to Samsung TV. I have a Sony TV, will I have all the functions with the soundbar that the Samsung people have with theirs?”

I also have a Samsung to Samsung set up, however I had in my previous setup an LG TV with a Samsung sound bar and it worked the same as this one, the set up may have been a little more convoluted but not a big deal. In my current configuration I don't even use the Samsung TV or Samsung Soundbar Remotes, I use the Xfinity voice remote which was able to work the on/off, volume controls, it is easier to use the Samsung remote if you want to go to Netflix, Amazon, etc., assuming of course that you have a smart tv, if not you can also login to those apps via the Xfinity remote/box.
