how far away from tv can I place the boom box null

My living room and dining room is one big long room with my couch in the middle facing the TV and the back of the couch facing the dining area. I have the tV and sound bar on the wall of the living room in front of couch and the boom box against the wall in the dining room which is way behind the couch. It’s about 18 feet from one wall all the way to the other wall. It works out great!
