“does the depth on the specs include the handle in front? I'm trying to figure out how deep of a machine I can fit in my laundry closet and don't know if the depth listed in the specs is for the bottom of the machine or does it include the parts that stick out in the back and front.”

Total unit depth is 32" which includes space for hoses in back. The door swings open another 20". I would add an inch in front if the unit happens to vibrate if unbalanced so it won't damage the closet door.

This includes the door and handle, but not the space needed behind the machine for water, drain and electrical connections, which would require another 6" in back and 2" in front for air circulation. If you're installing the dryer in the laundry closet, as well, there are additional considerations for ventilation. I would suggest reviewing the attached Alcove or Closet Installation excerpt from the user manual for more information on the washer installation; please refer to the dryer manual for other considerations. - Ms. Samsung
