“Looking to replace my current 30" gas cooktop and the microwave installed above it. Can I install this model under an over range microwave without melting it? If so, any recommendations and what is the minimum distance ? Thank you”

From my experience if you are heavy cooker and like boiling lots of stuff avoid an over the top microwave, venting is not sufficient. Just buy an independent range hood and forget about having issues you are bringing up.
