• Yes, the total measurement together is 41 1/4 so you can adjust the flue to fit. For gas cooktops, the bottom of the hood has to be at least 27" from cooking surface. Electric ranges the hood has to be at least 24" from cooking surface. For both, no higher than 36". It will work for you.
