Please try again later.Hi Bigherc, The Ice Master Ice maker in the RF32FMQDBSR is designed to function properly (without creating a block of ice) and produce as much as 10 lbs of ice per day. However, there are different factors that can hinder the ice maker from functioning properly, some of which may have to do with installation and leveling, the temperatures that are set, access to water, and whether the doors are left open, for example; while other factors may indicate it is in fact not functioning properly. If this is the case then service may be necessary to identify which of a variety of factors are indeed causing it. The first step is to rule out the factors that can be corrected without service. Reviewing the User Manual for installation and leveling instructions can help in that endeavor. If, after doing this, the issue still persists, the next step is to contact either Best Buy or Samsung for technical assistance which may involve scheduling an appointment with a service technician. I hope this helps to clarify the different steps in the process that are sometimes necessary to ensure an ice maker is functioning as it's designed to do. Thank you for your consideration, Ms. Samsung
