I was able to connect with my Comcast remote. I believe if you call Samsung they will walk you through the process.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are often a number of codes for each model of tv that your cable receiver will try. Occasionally, the first code it tries will only partially match which is why only your mute works. The tv itself is definitely capable of being controlled by a universal remote whether its from a cable company or anything so if your receiver allows it, you should be able to go to the remote setup and force it to try another code until everything works as it should. If not, you may have to look into updating the firmware on the receiver as it may be too old to have the correct coding for the tv. If their is no firmware update and you have a super outdated receiver, you may have to upgrade the receiver itself if you are dead set on only having to use one remote. Hopefully this was helpful to you and good luck.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Have Charter and had the same problem trying to figure it out as well. Charter provides 4 basic kinds of remotes. You want the Charter box or DVR to be almost at the highest level until the word STEREO is shown beside the volume bars. I can't remember the 4 digit code for this model but if you call Charter they will be happy to give you the correct 4 digit code for this TV until it works. After I called Charter and got the correct code it worked perfectly.... But... if you don't know the right 4 digit code you will have to try .. let's see 4 to the power of 4 is just under a million tries. Call Charter and you'll be fine. Just remember the part above about using the Charter remote to set the box or DVR volume up high until you see the word STEREO or the TV won't be in stereo from the Charter box to the TV.
