720 and 1080 is how the picture is displayed. The higher the number the better the picture. Most people will not notice the difference if you are watching regular TV or DVDs. It makes a small difference when playing Video Games but not $100 worth. I would recommend 1080 if it is $50 or less than the 720 (ex:720 is $150 but 1080 is $200) I would get the 1080. But if the 720 is $150 and the 1080 is $250, I would get the 720. Hope this HELPS,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your TV picture is made up little squares called pixels and there are a certain number in the vertical direction (up) and a certain number in the horizontal direction (across). 720 is a lower number of up pixels than 1080 so the picture is more fuzzy. There are about 900 pixels across with a 720 picture and 1920 pixels across with a 1080 picture.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Both are high definition; 1080p offers a higher resolution resulting in more detail. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.720p corresponds to HD quality display ability, whereas 1080p is Full HD. This spec tells us the max resolution at which the TV can render the content.
