Do you have a newer HD cable box. If not get one and also hd channels. You will need to connect an HDMI cable from your box to your tv to get the 1080p picture. Sometimes you also have to make sure your box has the 1080 resolution clicked on in settings. I have directv and I have the Genie. If you have an old box call you cable company and request to upgrade your equipment. You can say you are going to switch to another company if they don't do it for free
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If that old box is a signal converter box try eliminating It. You now own a TV that reads digital signals.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The new HD TVs usually need an HD cable box signal to achieve the quality picture you desire, otherwise it will have a somewhat fuzzier looking picture. You can try different settings on your TV that may smooth out the picture. I don't know what they offer in your state but call your cable provider to get an upgrade on your box. The prices have come way down and it will probably be the same or not much more than the price you are paying now.
