“Newbie to Smart TV I currently use a PC and monitor to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, and PBS Video, and a DVD player to watch recorded shows. I would like to purchase a smart TV to watch streaming Amazon Prime, Netflix, and PBS video; and connect my DVD player. Will this TV support that? or would I be required to buy a ROKU box(or something similar? Also, I have WIFI set up in my house and use Verizon DSL to deliver content. Will this TV connect to WIFI? If I can do the things above, do I have to be a technical wizard to set it up?”

The Smart TV does support Amazon Prime and Netflix and has HDMI or composite inputs for a DVD player. It also supports WiFi to connect to those services so I think you would be set.

If you set up your own wireless, have your network passwords and less than 30 minutes, you will have it out of the box, set up, hooked up, and mapped to your network. It comes with several preloaded apps including amazon prime, netflix, and others- just add you account ID. I will suggest finding a usb keyboard while you are setting up accounts as it will go much easier.
