“can you hook up a DVD player with out the hdmi ports I have read several "post" on different sites that state this model has componet jacks and some say no”

• Yes you can. I have my DVD hooked up with the component jacks.

• The UN32EH4003 will offer a combination Composite/Component input, which will allow you to connect both Component and RCA cables directly into the TV. -MrSamsung
