“I am unfamiliar with the TV's kind of power cord. The rectangular "box" that is mid-way between the cord's connection to the TV and the plug that goes into the electrical outlet is very warm to the touch. Is it normal for this "box" to get very warm?”

• Yes it is normal for it to get warm. It is stepping down the power going to the Tv which will help it last longer....

• It is normal for the "black box' to be warm to touch. This is not a problem.
