Speakers are along the bottom of TV.

One speaker and is back mounted.

No, there are in the rear. I used to run my audio through external speakers, but when I moved recently, something happened to the speakers and I get a loud buzz occasionally, like there is a short or the connections were crushed.. My Samsung in on a table just a foot or so from a wall and the wall projects the sound forward towards the tv watcher. It's awesome.
