A:Answer I have news for you unless you're watching an old NTSC relic in Black & white which is 480p which is minimum HDTV you'll still have hi-def because that is determined by the broadcast studio producing the show which theTV receives via antenna, cable box or streaming device. in addition, your watching anything located on the upper right side of the set there's a box that gives you information on what you're seeing including its resolution. I've been the owner of this model since October 26th, 2017.
